Members of Grace,
The year is drawing quickly to a close and we have so much for which to be thankful! God has blessed us so richly in Christ Jesus spiritually both individually and as a body. We have a church family that loves the Lord and wants to grow His kingdom here on earth. In addition, we have land, a beautiful building, and many new programs designed to reach the unsaved and unchurched. I’ve enjoyed the last month so much as we looked at God’s Sovereignty in the Psalms and celebrated the Feast of Tabernacles. I think the latter has sparked a demand for a weekly bowling night! (The practice certainly wouldn’t hurt most of us!)
The upcoming weeks are also packed with important and exciting events. First, I encourage you to attend this Sunday night’s Deacon Commissioning Service. The church will give a charge to the new deacon board and we will celebrate the new assignments of families to the deacons. We hope that the upcoming year will be marked by faithful service of the new deacon body and by support of the deacons by the church.
We also will be starting two new exciting series this week. The first is a look at who Jesus is from the Gos-pel of John. Every sermon will center on the person of Christ as we prepare for the Christmas season. Please use this as an opportunity to bring unsaved friends to church. The second series is a Wednesday night series on the feasts of the Bible. This will be led by Sam Nadler, a Messianic Jewish scholar and will be facilitated by Ben Zorn and Kevin Pragel. Personally, I’m very excited about learning more of these Biblical feasts.
October and November also bring many more exciting opportunities, so check your church calendar for details. As always, feel free to come to me or the staff if you need something. We’re here for you and your needs. I love being your pastor and feel blessed to be a part of this church body.
In Grace,
Pastor Kevin
